New technologies transform the world. But if those technologies remain confined to a laboratory, they never get the chance to reach their full, life-changing potential.
The Y-Prize Competition brings students together across disciplinary lines and challenges them to take emerging technologies out of the lab and into the marketplace. This year, we’re featuring two novel nanomaterials developed by Penn Engineering faculty.
Now it’s your turn to propose the best commercial applications for these exciting technologies. We invite you to unleash your creativity, build your entrepreneurial skills, and team up with some great people along the way.
The winning team will receive $10,000 to help launch their business. Three finalist teams will each receive $2,500.
The Y-Prize Kick-Off introduced the two novel nanomaterials available for commercialization in this year’s $10,000 competition.
This event will begin with info sessions on both of the featured technologies. We’ll follow up with an overview of the Penn libraries resources available to you, and a Q&A with the head judge. As always, a networking reception will immediately follow.
