Industry Immersion Pop-Up Projects

These short-term experiential learning opportunities are designed to engage students in applied, team-based work focused on real-world business challenges.

All Wharton undergraduates are eligible to apply. No prior industry knowledge is required — students will be equipped with the context and tools needed to succeed while exercising judgment, creativity, and analytical rigor.

Please note that students with classes that conflict with a project are ineligible to participate (see the Class Attendance policy).

Campbell’s: March 26 & April 6

In this project with Campbell’s, students will tackle a real-world consumer strategy challenge focused on how people make fast, everyday purchase decisions. Working collaboratively, participants will analyze consumer behavior, decision drivers, and the broader competitive landscape to develop actionable insights and recommendations. The project will emphasize translating qualitative and quantitative research into clear strategic implications, mirroring the type of work done in brand and growth strategy roles.

Key Dates & Expectations

  • Application deadline: Monday, February 23
  • Required in-person participation: 9:45 am – 2:30 pm on Thursday, March 26, and Thursday, April 9

Participants will also be expected to do some project-related work between the two in-person sessions.

Philadelphia Orchestra: April 10 & 11

This two-day project will tackle a defining challenge for the Philadelphia Orchestra and other classical music institutions: how to remain viable in a world shaped by speed, novelty, and fragmented attention — without compromising artistic integrity.

In a collaboration between the Curtis Institute of Music and Wharton, students will confront this challenge together. Curtis & Wharton students will gain exposure to strategy and organizational decision-making while engaging with artists and industry leaders and working together to develop business proposals for the Philadelphia Orchestra’s future.

Participants will also attend a live orchestral performance and have the opportunity to continue developing their idea for presentation to the Orchestra’s leadership.
