Withdrawing from a Course

Students may drop a course with no notation on their transcript up until the end of the fifth week of a fall or spring semester. Between the fifth and tenth week of a fall or spring semester, students may withdraw from a course, but only with the written permission of the course instructor (see the Withdrawal Form).

Withdrawals appear on the transcript as a W and are not calculated into the grade point average. After the tenth week of the semester, withdrawals are not normally permitted.

Summer courses and half-semester Wharton courses have different deadlines. Consult with an advisor in the Wharton Undergraduate Division for more information.
