Wharton-Approved Study Abroad Programs

At Wharton-approved study abroad programs, students can typically take classes to satisfy the Business BreadthLiberal Arts and Sciences, and Unrestricted Elective requirements. 

In addition to the general academic requirements, the Wharton-approved programs generally require applicants to complete their Business Fundamentals courses prior to the semester abroad. Students should review each program’s unique requirements with the designated Wharton Territory Advisor.

  • Leadership Journey, Business Fundamentals (including Flex Fundamentals of GEBS and TIA) and Concentration requirements can not be taken abroad.
  • Most students fulfill Business Breadth, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Unrestricted Elective requirements abroad. Please consult the full list to see which programs offer what credit.
  • Only through Wharton-approved programs may students earn Business Breadth credits. College programs are not approved to earn Business Breadths.
