Information for Seniors

Congratulations, Class of 2018! This page is intended to help you make the most of your senior year and graduate on time.

Enjoy senior class traditions

Connect with classmates in celebration of your accomplishments at 100 Days to Graduation, Senior Reception, and Senior Salute.  Check the calendar throughout the year for more information on these and other senior events.

Participate in the Wharton Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony

The Wharton Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2018.

The University of Pennsylvania’s 262nd Commencement ceremony will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Students will receive an email in early March with information about the Wharton ceremony and how to register. Event dates and deadlines will be listed on the Undergrad Inside calendar.

Consider taking the Senior Capstone or a Global Modular Course

Senior Capstone is an immersive, for-credit experiential learning opportunity that will challenge and build your business acumen.

Global Modular Courses are offered during school breaks. Students learn applicable business opportunities and practice through project- and team-based experiential learning in a geographic location relevant to the subject matter. Each year, a variety of courses are offered in different countries around the world.

Apply to graduate and confirm your diploma name by December 1

In order to graduate and receive a diploma, candidates for December 2017, May 2018, and August 2018 must submit the online application form by December 1.

As part of the graduation application, you must enter your name as you wish it to appear on your diploma. After the deadline, absolutely no changes to your diploma name will be permitted. If you fail to enter a diploma name by the deadline, we will use the name that appears in Penn InTouch. Dual-degree students must enter the same diploma name for both schools.

Registration for the Wharton Graduation Ceremony will be done separately during the spring semester.  Deadlines will be posted on the Undergrad Inside calendar.

Students should also review the information in the Graduation Information and Action Items page and are encouraged to meet with an advisor in G95 to review and finalize their graduation requirements prior to their final semester.
