Academic Advising Services
In addition to faculty concentration advisors in each of Wharton’s academic departments, the Wharton Undergraduate Division provides a team of dedicated, professional academic advisors to help students navigate their way through the curriculum and requirements. Our advisors help students make informed decisions about their educational plans and professional/life goals that are consistent with their interests, abilities, and values.
To learn more about our advisors, visit our Meet Your Advisors page.
Please note that because coordinated dual-degree curricular requirements differ from single-degree requirements, students in those programs should consult with their respective program advisors.
Student Records and Confidentiality
Even though you may be involved in paying for your child’s college education, it’s important to know that the University generally cannot, due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), discuss a student’s academic or other records with a third party, including parents, without the student’s consent.
To authorize Penn to share academic/financial data with a parent or other third party, the student must go to Path@Penn and click on “Share academic/financial info” under “My Profile.”
Penn Parents is the central resource for connecting undergraduate parents and families to the University. Through events, communications, volunteer opportunities and philanthropic engagement, the Penn Parents team is committed to building relationships and creating avenues for parents to feel informed, connected and be uniquely involved in the life of the University.
This page helps you navigate the professional, academic, peer, and cultural resources available to all students.
