Prior to the fall semester, the Undergraduate Division academic advisors conduct a rising-senior audit. Students should review their degree audit in Path@Penn and follow up with their assigned academic advisor with any questions, concerns or changes in regard to degree requirements.
While advisors are available to provide guidance, students are responsible for understanding and fulfilling degree requirements and should inform an advisor in the Wharton Undergraduate Division of any changes. Failure to do so may result in delaying graduation.
Requirements
The following must be completed and documented on your official record in order to graduate:
- All course requirements (Single-degree students must have a minimum of 37 course units distributed as specified in your official degree audit in Path@Penn. All dual-degree students must meet the requirements as specified in their respective curricula.)
- Declared concentration
- Foreign language requirement
- Course waivers (e.g., Economics, OIDD 1010)
- Advanced standing (AP, IB, or “A” level work), transfer, and/or study abroad credits

In addition, you must have achieved the required grade point averages (GPA) as specified below. There is no rounding up.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA overall
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA in your four concentration courses*
* If you have two concentrations and have at least a 2.5 in one concentration but not the other, you will graduate with the concentration in which you have earned at least a 2.5. If you have one concentration and have not earned at least a 2.5 in the concentration, you will not be awarded a degree.
Part-Time Status
Seniors in the final semester of their undergraduate program may be designated as part time if they need 2.5 CUs or fewer to fulfill their degree requirements. To learn more about procedures and deadlines for declaring part-time status, visit the Part-Time Status for Seniors page.
Concentrations and Minors
It is your responsibility to make sure that your concentrations and any minors are posted accurately and in a timely fashion.
Students completing a minor, must declare by the end of the Course Selection Period in their last semester of study.
Grading Responsibilities
All grading must be completed in order to be granted your degree. You cannot have any open grades/inclompletes on your transcript. Once your degree has been conferred and posted, no changes to the transcript will be permitted.
Dual-Degree Students
Candidates with the College, Engineering, or Nursing are strongly advised to consult with both schools in which they are enrolled regarding graduation policies and procedures, remaining degree requirements, etc.
Dual-degree students must complete the requirements of both schools in order to graduate.
Graduation Honors
Graduation honors are based on cumulative GPA at the time of graduation.
