After the Drop Deadline, students may withdraw from a course, but only with the written permission of the course instructor. Students should consult the Academic Calendar for the official Drop and Withdrawal deadlines for each semester.
Students begin the process by completing the Withdraw Form. Withdrawals appear on the transcript as a W and are not calculated into the grade point average. After the tenth week of the semester, withdrawals are not normally permitted.
Some courses have different deadlines (for example: summer courses, half-semester Wharton courses, and finance courses) or do not permit withdrawal (for example: courses cross listed with MBA). Consult with an advisor in the Wharton Undergraduate Division for more information.
