To be eligible to receive the bachelor of science in economics degree, single-degree students must satisfactorily complete the 37 course units of the Wharton curriculum and meet the curricular requirements described in the handbook and online. Coordinated dual-degree students should consult their program advisors for degree completion policies and information.
Additional requirements for graduation include:
- Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and must earn at least a 2.5 GPA in the four courses counted toward their concentration(s).
- No more than eight courses in any one department may be taken for credit towards graduation.
- All NR, GR, and I designations must be changed to a letter grade or otherwise be cleared from the record in order to graduate.
- Students who transfer into Wharton from another institution must complete at least one-half (19 course units minimum) of their required course work at Penn and at least four semesters at Penn.
Once a student has graduated from the University, no further changes to the transcript are permitted. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the transcript is correct at the time of graduation. Students may check their unofficial transcript on Path@Penn.
