Student organization leaders are expected to review the policies and expectations outlined below and ensure that this information is communicated within your club.
Reminder: Please note that lack of awareness of a policy does not exempt one from compliance. Staying informed and proactive helps prevent issues—please contact us with any questions.
Expectations for Recognized Student Organizations
All recognized student clubs and business fraternities are expected to do the following:
- Know and follow the policies linked to on this page.
- Have all presidents and treasurers complete the Wharton Undergraduate Club Leader Training on Canvas.
- Have all presidents attend the Wharton Club Leadership Summit.
- Post all events on CampusGroups.
- Maintain active membership lists on CampusGroups.
- Maintain up-to-date organization websites.
In addition, recognized student clubs are expected to know and follow all Wharton Council policies.
Policy Violations
Policy violations will be addressed through a student-group accountability process beginning with a conversation between organization leaders and Division staff. Failure to follow policies can result in freezing of Wharton Council and non-Wharton Council funds for 3 months to a full semester (excluding summer months). Information about the violations and resulting penalties will also be shared with Wharton Council and the Office of Student Affairs.
